When We Are Closed
NHS 111 is a new service introduced to make it easier for you to access local NHS healthcare services. You can now call 111 when you need medical help fast, but it isn’t a 999 emergency.
You can call NHS 111 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and all calls from landlines and mobiles are free. You can visit their website to find out more http://www.nhs.uk/111
You should call 111 if:
- you need medical help fast, but it's not a 999 emergency
- you think you need to go to A&E or another NHS urgent care service
- you don't know who to call, or you don't have a GP to call, or
- you require health information or reassurance about what to do next
For less urgent health needs you should still contact your GP or local pharmacist in the usual way.
Walk-In Centre
Nottingham NHS Walk-In Centre, The Island, Business Quarter, London Road, Nottingham NG2 4UU.
The Nottingham NHS Walk-In Centre is positioned within a business park close to the city centre and railway station and offers a nurse-led service. Opening hours are Monday to Sunday 08:00 to 20:00.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
